Changing the Pattern starts with...

Bob Burley

Excerpts from a letter by his mom….

Born in Montgomery, Bob always commented on how lucky he was! He was always a loving, studious, understanding son and brother who happened to be gay. He always had our loving support and we are thankful we can say this.

Bob was very active in Scouting! An Eagle Scout, a State Champion Indian Hoop Dancer. Very active in Methodist Youth Fellowships and Choir.  He loved to back and decorate cakes.  He made beautiful stained glass, raised and bred birds.  He had a cat and dog whom his partner still has.

“Before he died he told me of seeing the Quilt and how inspiring it was.  I decided to make him one.  I know he is finally free of pain and happy and whole again.”
